Gender, unemployment and short-term transitions in the urban labor market in Bolivia (2015-2017)

Among the working documents, developed by researchers from the Aru Foundation , this time the document called “Gender, unemployment and short-term transitions in the urban labor market in Bolivia, 2015-2017” is presented. From a short-term perspective, the paper uses the Continuous Employment Surveys (CEE) available between 2015 and 2017 to describe the dynamics of labor market participation and employment structure with the help of decomposition methods, while also estimates the differences in the duration of unemployment from risk models. The evidence presented in the study updates a view of gender inequalities in urban labor markets in Bolivia and proposes routes for debate.
