Mario Julián Loayza Grisi

Research associate

Mario Julián is an economist with experience in development, evaluations, international relations and international economics. He joined the IDB’s Office of Evaluation and Oversight (OVE) in 2021 and currently continues to hold that position. Previously, he worked as a business adviser for the UK State Department; as head of unit for regional integration in the Bolivian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and as a researcher at the Aru Foundation.
Mario Julián has a master’s degree in International and Development Economics from the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin and is an economist from the Bolivian Catholic University.
